Back axle breather - Tom Coates - 21-05-2019 I drained and refilled my back axle a couple of weeks ago with 1/2 of D140 oil. Since then I've probably done about 400 (fairly fast) miles and a fair amount of oil is leaking out of the breather. Is this normal? I'm using fairly thick oil and I know its not over filled. I could presumably make up an extension in flexible hose to try and improve the situation? RE: Back axle breather - Ruairidh Dunford - 21-05-2019 I usually fix a small hose, pointing up the way, which seems to prevent this happening. |
