Piston Rods - Peter Sweeney - 18-05-2019 I have a set of used rods and pistons which look like Renault 4 ones. Hopefully the photo will show them. Has anyone the part no for the Renault rods. I bought them years ago with a load of A7 parts. The bore in the big ends (worn shells) is 1.3115 inches and the diameter of the piston is 2.370 inches. One of the rods has been worked on. The flashing has been filed off and the whole polished. The part no as I can make out looks like 6153 * 50. * is a circle with something in it. RE: Piston Rods - Terrytuned - 18-05-2019 Peter the R4 rods are 38mm crank dia: and the pistons are 58mm what is usually referred as an 1 1/2" crank is in fact 38mm as it uses R4 bigend shells. Terry, RE: Piston Rods - Peter Sweeney - 23-05-2019 Thanks Terry I have no idea what they are from. Looks like the scrap bin then. Pete RE: Piston Rods - Chris KC - 23-05-2019 Could they be Reliant OHV? They were split on the slant like that. 10 thou under on big ends and + 0.020 or so on bore. |
