Cylinder Head Query - Chris Garner - 17-04-2019 [attachment=6134 Any ideas chaps? RE: Cylinder Head Query - Amilcar John - 17-04-2019 Clearly not designed to provide high compression. Could this be for a blown car? RE: Cylinder Head Query - Ian Williams - 17-04-2019 I believe its a Brooklands head I would be interested i purchasing if it is for sale RE: Cylinder Head Query - Austin in the Shed - 17-04-2019 What does the top side look like Chris ? RE: Cylinder Head Query - Rogerfrench - 17-04-2019 My first thought was Brooklands, too. Early primitive plug position rings a bell, designed more to protect plug than for optimum combustion. Later and better designs were much closer to the exhaust valve. RE: Cylinder Head Query - Ruairidh Dunford - 17-04-2019 I had one of these many years ago - I was told it was for a supercharged car but Brooklands sounds more exciting. RE: Cylinder Head Query - Chris Garner - 17-04-2019 RE: Cylinder Head Query - Ian Williams - 17-04-2019 Ruairidh, I believe they did use an almost identical casting on supercharged Ulsters, although probably with a lower CR, so you may well be correct.
