I have an engine and gearbox in the shed with a speedex head on it, been meaning to sort it to go on my website.

Curious that the Speedex manifold for a side-draft carb is fetching more than twice the price of the Supaloy down-draft version; I would have thought the latter was the more desireable. The seller also has an interesting 2-piece cylinder head.

Hi,
With eBay sometimes the red mist descends on the bidders, the seller started his auction at £19.99 with no reserve so good luck to him.
The bidders are obviously in a battle with each other with neither willing to give in I suppose that's why old paintings sell for hundreds of millions.

He's also selling a Scintilla Vertex mag - I have one just like that that I've occasionally thought of attempting to fit to a Seven... It is quite a size though...

Hi Chris: I have a Vertex mag adapter for a Seven if you are interested. It does eliminate the dynamo though. Seems to be a one-off as there are no markings present. I have the mag as well but it is a heavy brute and shipping would be outrageous. Gord

Thanks Gord, I do have one of those or something similar at least.
I may yet try it out but for now other projects always seem to take priority...
