GE Cup Photos - Douglas Alderson - 23-11-2018

I found these photos in a box of paperwork, any one seen them before?  I think I have see the second one some where but not sure

The second one looks very much like those taken by Tom Abernethy to advertise the bodies he made.

Could be it looks like a advert photo and is quite big 6x4, I'll post the originals to you.

Thanks for posting these.

The first photo looks like a genuine
, if somewhat tired factory built car.
Interesting paint? On the scuttle?!

I also note that it has later Lucas 1130 sidelamps
but seems to be missing its seats?
And has a black enamelled radiator shell.

Both images seem to be taken in wintry conditions
and Gartmore can certainly get its share of snow!

The bodywork photo has the bodyshell sitting
on a newly restored chassis, perhaps used as a jig?

The “snow” in the body picture is the pebbledash on the wall of his house Bill.

You’re right I can see the Pebbledash
On the bottom left. Loads of snow in the other pic.
A cold days drive in a GE Cup!

Putting the finishing touches to the engine today.
