Ruby door seal - Tiger - 06-10-2018 Hi people Waiting for some bits for engine rebuild so looking at bodywork. Drivers door not secured when I took ownership so let’s have a look ! Bottom rail not present so ordered replacement for Martin P. Fabulous service rail was a perfect fit and very reasonable price. After lots of fettling door is an “excepable fit” Question what provides the seal between the door edge and body ? Can’t see anything on the A7 workshop site. Advice much appreciated Regards Tim RE: Ruby door seal - Ruairidh Dunford - 06-10-2018 What year is your Ruby Tim? RE: Ruby door seal - Tiger - 06-10-2018 1936 ARR RE: Ruby door seal - Colin Morgan - 07-10-2018 When you say seal - do you mean water or air? There was no rubber seal fitted to the door to keep out water, as far as I am aware - and it doesn't seem to find its way in. Draughts are excluded by draught excluder attached round the frame (Furflex type in my car). RE: Ruby door seal - Tiger - 07-10-2018 Thanks chaps Found the furflex type on A7 workshop site. Tim |
