Zenith 24T2 - John Mims - 15-06-2018 Can a Zenith 24T2, e.g., ex Ferguson T20 tractor, be used without modification on an RN? RE: Zenith 24T2 - Ian Williams - 15-06-2018 The Fergie version needs modification, the mounting flange holes are in the wrong place and you will need to replace the choke tube and jets with the correct size for a seven. It is much better if you can find one intended for a seven, these have 1372 stamped into the boss on top of the float chamber, I have just fitted one to a Chummy and it works extremely well. I would suggest it would be as expensive (possibly more so) to adapt a Fergie version as it would to refurbish a 22FZ. Thanks, Ian RE: Zenith 24T2 - Colin Morgan - 15-06-2018 Hi The 24T2 I put on my Chummy was not the right one, as mentioned by Ian above (it did not have 1372 on it) - but it did have the right sized choke tube, and I drilled the top flange to directly fit the inlet manifold. This was the only modification needed as the main jet was the variable type so could be adjusted to suit on the car. As a quick solution to get the car running, it worked well - so well I didn't change it in the two years I owned it. Any idea what '150' might mean in the Air Jet column, Colin? Could it mean 1.5mm? I've got hold of a 24T2 with the 14mm choke tube and variable main jet, but not the correct air jet. The only air jet I've found online is of unknown bore, but marked '52' on top of it. The Fergie ones are 2.0mm, and available. John |
