Mine are 4BA (3.6mm OD, 1" long at the top, 3/4" bottom).

From memory, I thought that they were actually 3.5BA - but screws that hold socket & light switches to pattresses for a normal domestic electrical installation are the same thread and fit perfectly.

...yet another non-original and incorrect item on my car, then. Still, it didn't seem to affect performance in the sunshine this morning.
