I cannot find it on the A7CA Website but I know that it was discussed at a meeting and read about it in the minutes - if you go back through them you may find the comment.
I think that it was decided to discontinue a hard copy publication because almost everyone now has access to a mobile phone and internet, also the RH breakdown scheme is excellent and lastly, that nobody came forward to co-ordinate it.
Just my recollections, finding the minute will answer properly.

Thanks Ruairidh. I was just updating our membership application form to reflect the new Data Protection rubbish when I realized we were still asking people if the wanted to be included in a national breakdown register? Also realized I had not heard much about it in recent years.

I only ever used the red book once but it was a godsend when I did.

The Breakdown Register was blue (the last print of it anyway).

That's most odd, that web site includes advertisements saying "meet and date affluent singles"
My Ruby has a confirmed date of 1935 and is powered by a side valve four. Strange machines these algorithms.

No doubt you're right Ruairidh! Last time I had cause to open it was 1995...
