That looks like the section I recall fitted to both my Ulster and Type 65.

Mike, so designed to go under the bonnet... but not protecting against scuttle scrapes? And giving a smooth line from bonnet to scuttle without a bump?
That bonnet in the pic seems a bad fit.

Yes, my memory suggests the high point of the rubber was near-enough flush with the outer surface of the bonnet/scuttle, perhaps just a millimetre or two above the panel line.
