RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - Steve kay - 30-04-2022 Today I have driven my Ruby about 40 miles, and a19.6 Crossley about a hundred. Looking at my emails on return home, a number of people have said they hoped I was active with old motor cars, and not looking at tractors. What do these messages mean, I wonder? RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - John Mason - 30-04-2022 Today has been a day of mixed feelings. I have not driven my Seven for the last 5 years due to poor eyesight, however my son has taken me out in it regularly. I am now at the point I cannot see well enough to maintain it so it had to go. I handed over the keys to my son to keep at his house in order the car could be used more regularly. The two of us took it over to his place (him driving) a lovely drive through the Nottinghamshire countryside 22 miles in all to just outside Newark. Very sad to see it go but at the same time happy it’s still in the family and it’s there for me to see and ride in from time to time. John Mason. RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - JonE - 30-04-2022 it will still be a Mason car though, John - and people will be thinking of it as yours when they see it out perhaps, when you are in it or not? And of course, you will probably still be fixing it! :-) RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - David Stepney - 01-05-2022 Sad to hear your news, John. I hope that you will still be a contributor to the forum, though. All the best! RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - John Mason - 01-05-2022 David, Yes I will still be on the forum as I can easily make the print size bigger when viewing on my IPad. John Mason. RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - Reckless Rat - 01-05-2022 The first Sunday of the month is the local Alès old car get-together, now held on the banks of the Gardon river next to the Town centre. A good turn-out today of about 200 cars. Here's a few shots I took as I browsed around: RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - Ivor Hawkins - 01-05-2022 That is certainly an eclectic mix of cars Bruce! RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - 39Jet - 01-05-2022 The Citroen GS/GSA break is one of the prettiest cars, although, perhaps, not seen at its best in pale blue. RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - Tony Press - 02-05-2022 It is a bit of a worry to see all the cars that are now classed as 'old' to 'very old' RE: What have you done today with your Austin Seven - Bob Culver - 02-05-2022 Hi Tony I personally now have a similar dismay when dealing with strangers... |
