RE: rebuilt engine leaking oil.... - goodwoodweirdo - 07-05-2024 And there I was thinking with out the "oil thrower" the oil would leak out... The engines not been run since its rebuild however I tried filling it with oil and would turn it over by hand.... leave it a night or two and come back to find it pee'd itself... Flywheel boss is now sporting a Speedi Sleeve... I'll double check what I've ordered and supplied the engine builder... thanks for all the feedback RE: rebuilt engine leaking oil.... - goodwoodweirdo - 13-05-2024 Thanks Alan, checked hole present ... RE: rebuilt engine leaking oil.... - AustinWood - 13-05-2024 If the negine hasn't been run it won't be leaking from the rear cranksahft seal unless it was grossly overfilled. RE: rebuilt engine leaking oil.... - goodwoodweirdo - 13-05-2024 Indeed Jim... noted. Ready to put it back together and hopefully start with a rather oil tight engine.. |
