Dave! I really had to think about that for a moment - when you said "Woodcote" I automatically thought of Silverstone!
Great to hear of you and that you have a new 'baby'!

After taking everything apart I finally traced my problem a few days later to a scrap of solder blocking the fuel tap.

We'll look out for you on the way to Beaulieu this year.

We finally managed to find a couple of spare hours today to make a start on poor Ruby. Axle components all stripped down for inspection and rebuild. So far all looking good.

Ruby Rescued!
It took us a bit longer than expected due to other commitments but now back on the road. We just need to balance the brakes and a couple of small jobs before we can put a few miles on her.

Very satisfactory Dave, a lovely end to the story.

Hi Dave

Lovely that such a pretty car is back on the road again - well done

Not sure if you replaced the steering arm, but from what I've read about the originals cracking and given that this one has been ground zero for a pretty good wallop, I'd replace it even if it was a new production one before.

Dave and Jeremy you have made a super job of the repair.
So glad to see it back on the road.
I understand Ian and Pam and their boys enjoyed the Ruby and did many miles in it.
Cheers, Dave.

What a happy ending…or should I say beginning?

I hope the Ruby brings many happy miles of enjoyment. A brilliant result, we’ll done all!
