Yes indeed. There are purfling dealers who offer an extraordinary range of patterns and sizes.
I learned something else today... I pointed out to my upholsterer friend that the leather was thicker than I expected, he said that if I had scraped it to make it thinner I would be a sciver. His local shoe making factory had a whole sciving department apparently. I've found my perfect job.

I was looking at saggars in the Potteries Museum the other weekend...
