RE: All Alloy Cup progress - Alan - 12-04-2019 Might have to wait a while. RE: All Alloy Cup progress - Ruairidh Dunford - 12-04-2019 Perfect age Alan. Bill - my father in law worked at Barr and Stroud in thermal optics/imaging - Ken Fraser, he knew Tom’s father who also worked there... RE: All Alloy Cup progress - AllAlloyCup - 12-04-2019 Hi Ruairidh I worked in the Physics Lab along the corridor from Thermal imaging. I was there on one of the first days they got An IR imager working. They set it up in another corridor that the office girls used and it gave some interesting results. As I had a bod toothache that day I became a guinea pig and you could see clearly where the bad tooth was ! When these guys had some spare time they would build themselves an electron microscope!! I worked on EMI 2001 colour cameras and later when I was at BBC at TVC , White City, my manager had one of the colour splitter blocks I used to test!!!! On his desk as a paperweight!
