RE: Early Box Saloon Identity - Austin in the Shed - 25-01-2022

I've taken the photo out of the frame, unfortunately there is nothing on the back.
I wonder if it's a reprint possibly of a smaller photo.
The box brownie photos I had of my chummy c1959 were very small.
The screen peak does look just like yours Mike.

RE: Early Box Saloon Identity - Monsdonnet - 25-01-2022

The peak on the windscreen is a piece of tinted glass in a chrome frame and part of the windscreen. The frame is adjustable from inside using a large knurled knob bearing the name of the maker...'Pearce of Worcester'. This seems to have been 'standard' on the 1929/30 Mulliner saloons.... and I do wish the auto spell checker would stop changing 'Mulliner' to 'Milliner' !
