I see the photo you posted to Tony Re the smart diode from the Magneto Guyes.
Please could you post for me a photo of the rear of the unit or a sketch of the connection etc.
I’m in South Africa and have the diode but need to find out how to connect it up

Hi Harry

The wiring is really simple depending on +ve or -ve, one wire goes to the main dynamo and the other to the switch panel.  Just like the Magneto guys website diagram.

I’m not at home at the moment so can’t post any photos for a week or so.

It goes across the terminals of the existing cut-out, just disconnect the cut out and mount the diode inside. There is nothing on the back of the baord.
