RE: Wheel Hub Studs - Bob Culver - 29-03-2021 Hi Terry It is customary to sniff at the drilling idea. Blocking screws can be fitted. It surprises me the original set up does not give more trouble. The seal housings are only a light press fit in the housing and the few I have dismantled were not sealed with goo. Anything that finds its way into the tube would prsumably stay there. My car stood drained for decades and the seals presumably dried out. When filled to the recommended level oil ran directly out of the hub!! |
