The car was a prop in a play and set up like this so that it could be driven on and off the stage.  I don't think it was ever used on the road but who knows?  The car has since been restored and has an Austin unit back under the bonnet.

I found while clearing my late aunt’s house this photograph of a Chummyesque stage prop that I thought would be of interest. Perhaps not academic interest but of interest nevertheless.

Doubt it. The scuttle is the wrong shape and there are only 6 louvres on the bonnet. Wheels have only 10 spokes instead of 12...IMHO

The driver looks to be a very formidable lady and I don’t envy the traffic police officer who pulls her over for a driving misdemeanour!
