Hi All

I don’t use air con that often but do find it useful to dehumidify as Mike suggests but also on long motorway journeys driving at 70 mph with the windows down does get a bit wearing noise wise. And..stationary in traffic next to big diesel trucks ....

It is also noted in “how to save fuel” articles that keeping windows shut is beneficial. How that squares with the extra fuel used by the air con I’m not sure!

As I understand it, keeping the windows shut aids the aerodynamics of the car and the resultant fuel saving outweighs the extra fuel consumption as a result of running the air-con...
