RE: Steering wheel covering - Ian Williams - 03-04-2020

Has anyone covered a wheel with Cellulose acetate sheet it is currently available and used in the manufacture of Accordions, clarinets and other musical instruments. It is softened in a solution of acetone and water which makes it almost rubber like, it is then applied to the instrument, I have been intending to experiment for ages but there is always something else on my bench!!

Back 40 years ago one of Mobil's customers was the Melbourne branch of BX Plastics- from memory they were injection moulders- took me quite a while to find out where BX came from  Smile  No Xylonite on view !
