I'm sure any day we'll see that remote. And Joss thanks for the reality check... I'm sure theres hours of joy to be had with the aluminium.... so many hours of fun. RE: My Kiwi Reproduction ulster - Athanasius Santamaria - 15-10-2020 It has been some time since I last posted... almost a year in fact. A lot has happened in this strange year of 2020. However, despite the many disruptions, I have pushed on with the car. The wooden buck was finished and most of the steel floorpan. The chassis, buck and floorpan was then moved with the help of a friends van to Auckland. My good Friend and mentor Joss, is helping me through the process of building the aluminium skin and has aided in the finishing of the floorpan. I should make special note that Joss's expertise, guidance and tutoring has been instrumental in the progression of my project and skills. I am very lucky to have someone take me under their wing so to speak while I embark on the body work. What follows are some shots of the latest progress and where I am up to now. 20200516_115434.jpg (Size: 137.15 KB / Downloads: 586) 20200922_093758.jpg (Size: 162.98 KB / Downloads: 587) 20200505_154928.jpg (Size: 155.73 KB / Downloads: 586) 20200721_182540.jpg (Size: 144.68 KB / Downloads: 585) 20200721_182617.jpg (Size: 147.15 KB / Downloads: 588) 20200722_182212.jpg (Size: 163.66 KB / Downloads: 588) 115821672_3165965610161236_5346452768736921556_o.jpg (Size: 119.08 KB / Downloads: 587) RE: My Kiwi Reproduction ulster - Mark Atkinson - 15-10-2020 She is looking very well. I think this is a great point in a build, bringing all the various elements together realising the vision which drove you to build the car. Regards, Mark RE: My Kiwi Reproduction ulster - Erich - 15-10-2020 This is very impressive. It is interesting to see how everything has progressed. Wonderful attention to detail. Erich in Seattle RE: My Kiwi Reproduction ulster - Athanasius Santamaria - 15-10-2020 Thanks Mark, it certainly is a neat stage of the build. You start to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Exciting times. Thanks Erich, Its been a hard slog getting the details in there, but its starting to pay off. I also haven't forgotten about those hank nuts... I did a few test ones and they came up alright. However as long as you're in no hurry Ill get there eventually. A gifted young man. |
