RE: Austin Sevens in Films - GK5268 - 03-12-2019 The George Formby film "Spare a Copper - 1940" at around 6 minutes 30 seconds has a Swallow 2-seater, it gets bashed... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li9VeYXDr2A This car is a movie star: http://www.studio434.co.uk/my-product/austin-seven-swallow-saloon-1930/ May have been in Allied - 2016 https://www.imcdb.org/i001006244.jpg And as an extra walk on part (drive on) in Mary Poppins https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1250810-Austin-Seven-Swallow-1930.html RE: Austin Sevens in Films - Nick Lettington - 03-12-2019 Cromer pier it is. Renowned Shakespearean actor Fred Wimbush (Danny la Rue) is called up whilst appearing in a play on the end of the pier... RE: Austin Sevens in Films - A7novice - 03-12-2019 Hello, my 7 (SVS 256 was JO 7623 before someone transferred the original number !!) appeared in a 1994 film 'Dragonworld' On YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy4qlktMavY The car (looking very much as it does today) features from 5:20 minutes in, to 9:15 minutes (watching the rest of the film requires a degree of tenacity...or boredom) best regards Garry RE: Austin Sevens in Films - Reckless Rat - 03-12-2019 Nice, up to the bit where the kid gets out of the car and throws the door open. Looks like the check strap didn't do it's job because the door must have gone right round and belted the wing. I would not have been impressed if that had been my car! RE: Austin Sevens in Films - Dave Mann - 03-12-2019 Another film with a Seven in is Danny champion of the world. RE: Austin Sevens in Films - Tony Griffiths - 06-12-2019 Here's a rather sweet one, a BMC publicity film featuring the Westminster (and an Austin 7): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYprqXG5inY Watch from 2:28 if you can't be bothered with the rest. However, there are three reels, all showing a very different England in 1957 ![]() ![]() RE: Austin Sevens in Films - Mike Costigan - 07-12-2019 PM 8276 in The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins: ![]() RE: Austin Sevens in Films - Mick Hanna - 08-12-2019 The Mirror Crack'd, 1980.
