For anyone vaguely interested, I have been quoted between £250.00 and £400.00 to have the chassis blasted and primed, depending upon which firm I use. All want the grease and road dirt removing first.

That’s about right. I paid £300 to have my van chassis blasted about four months ago.

I had my chassis shot blasted by a local contractor for £20 he offered to prime it for £10 . He was refurbishing Grand Union iron bridges and the primer was guaranteed for 100 years . Still ok after 30 years.
