RE: Chassis Preparation and Treatment before Painting - Jamie - 26-02-2025 For anyone vaguely interested, I have been quoted between £250.00 and £400.00 to have the chassis blasted and primed, depending upon which firm I use. All want the grease and road dirt removing first. Jamie. RE: Chassis Preparation and Treatment before Painting - Howard Wright - 26-02-2025 Hi Jamie That’s about right. I paid £300 to have my van chassis blasted about four months ago. Cheers Howard RE: Chassis Preparation and Treatment before Painting - Jamie - 26-02-2025 That is good to hear. Howard. RE: Chassis Preparation and Treatment before Painting - Stumpi - 26-02-2025 I had my chassis shot blasted by a local contractor for £20 he offered to prime it for £10 . He was refurbishing Grand Union iron bridges and the primer was guaranteed for 100 years . Still ok after 30 years. |
