THE expert on Military Sevens was David Morgan whom we sadly lost some years ago. In 2017 he published a book " Immortal Austin Seven " which contained a chapter on military Sevens. I, with others, was proud to have worked with him on the book.
Additionally he owned a splendid example of such a Seven and was also was a fan and proud owner of a Lotus 11.
I know he had an extensive amount of information on these vehicles, much of it unpublished I believe.
I have no idea what has happened to it all. Perhaps others know.

RE: Military Model - Archivist - 27-11-2024

I visited David, by invitation, not long before his untimely demise. He was clearly 'tidying up'; the Military car had already gone and he gave me much of his source research material for 'The Immortal Austin Seven' which is now held in the Archive. He did once show me a wonderful sales brochure for military models (I have ony seen one other and that was a photocopy, so hardly counts). Interestingly, he told me that the Brochure had come to him from Argentina, which was reputed to be the source of the famous 'Military' photo album, kindly donated by Adli Halabi. Another taken too soon...

The Archive is somewhat 'light' on Military material, so additions are always sought...

Surprised that our "photo editing wonderman" hasn't done one of these cars with a modern missile launcher mounted? Big Grin

Pith helmets? I hated mine…

Pith helmets? I hated mine… only wore it twice in three years, once to try it on, and lastly on passing-out parade (almost passed out, out of embarrassment).
