As the regstration number, date of registration and the Chassis and Car Number Plates are clear, I've sent the data to the A7CA register.

They look... um... original... That's one thing I think I'd prefer to be untouched on a restored car.

I'm not qualified to advise on the correct plates or method of attachment for the model and year, but I'd prefer to see something looking like it has been there a hundred years, just to save any possible complications down the road...

Does anybody know if the chassis number has been found on the front nearside chassis member and is there an engine number on the block. Any comments on the brake cross shaft and unused linkage hanging down?

My comment seems to have got lost, perhaps an anorak net is in operation. Brake gear looks somewhat unconvincing. The underside shot also shows the pulley drive for the original speedo is in situ, but the speedo drive is in fact off the gearbox. So much Autoglym should allow the machine to slip through the air at high speed.

In Scotland we have an "offers over" system when buying homes.
The estate agents will often list homes at amounts that are low to attract lots of bids and interest. The sale price often bares no resemblance to the "offers over" price.
20 years ago, in a fit of complete lunacy, we bid £103000.00 over the asking price for a cottage near Aberfoyle - thankfully there were people prepared to offer more and we were spared a life of debt.
The cottage was nice, but not that nice!
In short, the undervaluing of items is a superb strategy to ensure lots of interest and bidding...

I watched the programme and the van was very nice but I don’t think it was £17,000 nice. Possibly a case of auction frenzy?
