I have a short length of the “ knurled” finish coating which was left on a wheel I re-clad with cord, free to a good home, collection only…

Thanks all. Suggestions always appreciated and food for thought. I could leave it - after all it's not as though the car is perfect everywhere else !!!!!????

I might have a go with the epoxy - try mixing a small amount with black paint and apply in a small less obvious place. If that works for me then have a go at the rest.

Thanks again all.

Me too...

Ive never tried it but you should be able to get black epoxy resin ready coloured

Thanks Alan - would save getting the mix wrong.

I've just had a close look at the wheel on my Chummy and, guess what, somebody has already been at it with touches of black epoxy filler on some of the raised knobbles. Without looking carefully, the repair is invisible.
