I have to agree, the original 350 was a sweet engine, produced ample power and you can buy one for a fraction of the price of the Ruby Special.

If you want to look at it fine, but motor cycles are for riding.

I think a motorcycle engine and gearbox in a Ruby would be better.... CX500 shaft drive with an additional marine gearbox for reversing. Where's my angle grinder?

Assuming it hadn't broken your leg in the process, imagine trying to lift it back up if you dropped it.

I like the Frankensteinian electrics box on the side, like something from 'Carry on Screaming'!

Referring to Chris KC's comment, it's not a combination, it's a solo!

Robert
You often is the amusing side !

"You don't wanna do it like vat, you wanna do it like vis..." seems to be the attitude of the builder?
I wonder if he uses his micrometer as a welding clamp as well....

RE: Ruby Engined Motorbike - Tony Griffiths - 20-05-2024

Perhaps a tad overpriced at £23,989. It looks to be a well-engineered build - but I'll bet it rides, handles and brakes like a heavily laden camel on ice.

2nd that ...

and I'm sure with some thought you could convert it back if ever...
