Looking at a 1950's Hepolite catalogue, the (flat piston head) MG Midget / Magna / Magnette pistons 1928 to 1935 were 57mm standard bore, 66mm piston length and 36mm compression height. The 1936 8.9 hp 939cc Midget / PB pistons were 60mm standard bore, 69.25mm piston length and 36mm compression height.

I might be able to help with a set of new R4 58mm 3 ring solid skirt pistons. They were available with 16mm and 18mm gudgeon pins.

I pistons I have are 16mm pins. If this suits your R4 rods get back to me and I will give you more details.
