RE: Indictors - John Mason - 17-10-2022

I added flashing indicators to my car some years ago (before LEDs) I used two flashier units one for each side operated by two solenoids driven from the indicator live feeds. The flashers were driven from a direct live fused feed from the battery switched on by the solenoid. I also had a switch and a further solenoid which connected them together to make interesting but unlawful hazard lights as they flashed not together but side to side. No drilling of the body to fix them I made light metal brackets that bolted t the bumper irons. If I was going to do the job now I would use flashing LEDs.

John Mason.

I hadn’t considered the semaphore up and down movement
However might well catch attention quite well ?

RE: Indictors - Hugh Barnes - 18-10-2022

I really dont think so, Tiger, as no one is looking for it nowadays. I followed a car the other day with flashing LEDs in the semaphore arms and they really did grab attention...
