RE: Drive it day 24th April - Duncan Grimmond - 22-04-2022 In the past I've seemed to end up at Masham market place around midday, close to home and not too early...I did think of going to York for a gathering at Knavesmire but it's an early start for a Sunday (09.30, depart for Sherburn Motor Hub 10.00) and I'm usually still finishing breakfast then. Play it by ear I suppose RE: Drive it day 24th April - andrew34ruby - 22-04-2022 Masham is just about do-able for me Duncan but is a bit tight for time. I have to be back home in time to take the Deputy Mayor of Harrogate to a service at Christ Church on the stray starting at 2.30. Using the seven of course! RE: Drive it day 24th April - Malcolm Parker - 22-04-2022 I will try to get to Masham around lunch time. RE: Drive it day 24th April - Duncan Grimmond - 23-04-2022 Masham it is then...I was thinking it's a long drive (best route shows 55mins) to Sherburn for an hour or so RE: Drive it day 24th April - JFaulknerUlsterRep - 23-04-2022 Hoping to attend the British Motor Museum at Gaydon with a chance of the classic car weekly being there so maybe get a mention for the 100th centenary celebrations RE: Drive it day 24th April - Ivor Hawkins - 23-04-2022 What a cracking looking box saloon, just the job for a trip to Gaydon. RE: Drive it day 24th April - JFaulknerUlsterRep - 23-04-2022 Thanks Ivor, she’s been in the family since 1987 was originally bought from Mick Kirkland. We restored it and put it back on the road in 1999. Few blemishes here and there but the restoration has held well. RE: Drive it day 24th April - Malcolm Parker - 24-04-2022 I took the RL to Masham at lunchtime where I met up with Duncan in his BSA 3-wheeler and Dave and Linda Coates in their stunning Singer Le Mans. There was a good turnout of motorcycles including several classic machines. I saw a few classic cars on the road but not so many for a lovely Spring day. RE: Drive it day 24th April - Howard Wright - 24-04-2022 Hi All Lots of classics on the roads near us but only one vintage. We drove over to Hay on Wye for lunch in The Granary then back via Kington. First photo is the car park in Hay, not many car parks have a view like this. 49B74D44-A85E-488F-90CA-980BD9343A9C.jpeg (Size: 117.58 KB / Downloads: 144) The second photo was taken just after Forest Inn looking down towards Llandeglau rocks.
