I must say I hadn't expected base gaskets to be as thick as 17 or 27 thou. So I guess when compressed even the thin one would probably bring my pistons down to deck height, which would leave the head gasket thickness as clearance on No.s 1&4 and I could reduce 2&3 by a small amount if I feel it necessary. RE: Pistons protruding - Alan - 22-02-2022 Be careful that the head gasket doesn’t overlap the cylinder holes. If you have +80 rebore sometimes it can. |
