RE: Lighting configuration on Austin 7 special - Duncan Grimmond - 30-12-2021 As an aside, http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com also do a tail 3-in-1 led which gives you stop/tail/indicator. This set up allows you to have bright sidelights for daytime visibility should you so wish. (again no connection other than as satisfied customer) RE: Lighting configuration on Austin 7 special - Ian Burton - 03-01-2022 Thank you all for your observations. Duncan -hadn't considered the issue of vibration. Food for thought! Paul good idea to check the regs wasn't sure of where I would find that, so again helpful advice. RE: Lighting configuration on Austin 7 special - dickie65 - 03-01-2022 The 1933 /34 sports had the side light inside the headlight. There used to be converters to fit a pre focus 7" reflector into the 1933 onwards lamp unit which can also have a side light inside the headlamp. The car in my avatar has 7" pre focus units inside larger lucas lamp units from an MG. ( I now have replica original lamps fitted ) |
