I didn't have an original to hand that appeared to fit so fabricated one to broadly the right dimensions. It was 25 years ago, so my memory is foggy.

I can see why daisy liked carrying out the repair.

Perhaps you can take the opportunity to teach her how to silver solder?. 

My daughter really enjoyed learning to solder, and using the gas axe blew her mind. Not had the opportunity to teach her how to silver solder yet.

She solders the wiring jobs up for me, so perhaps an easy next step, will let you know how she gets on.
