Will it make the noise if you turn the engine over with the starting handle and, if so, is it continuous or does it happen per turn etc?

If the noise went when the dizzy repair was done then started again shortly afterwards and nothing else was added or intefered with I would suspect the dizzy. Check the new bearing is getting lubricated. Also check the Bob weights and springs at the same time.
