RE: Another failed attempt to interest America in small cars - Bob Culver - 20-10-2020 Hi Simon In the 1960s in Wellington before the motorway and one way system I found my Seven with its small size and quick steering very compatible with the rest, although at the bottom of Vivian St and Bidwill St it refused to brake to a complete halt! Much the same in Dunedin but nbg in Auckland. The wide roads were then unlaned and with no speed enforcement buses and all else shaved past at 40 mph whuch was frightening in a car which needs flying room on poor surfces. In many ways the ordered slow traffic of today is easier. And every intersection is controlled. The right hand rule was nerve wracking in a Seven. I'd like a Peel P50 for the garage,I wouldn't want to go further than the shop down the street however.
