RE: Air pressure gauge - Zetomagneto - 30-09-2020 Sorry Dave, another red herring RE: Air pressure gauge - Colin Wilks - 30-09-2020 This is on Amazon in US, so has an NPT connector. Face looks reminiscent of the David Harcourt gauge. There is a Kodiac version that looks identical, but presumably has better internals at twice the price. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00FBPPY1Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_8akDFb427RV5G RE: Air pressure gauge - Robert Foreman - 30-09-2020 Something like this Dave. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233575863432 RE: Air pressure gauge - Michael D - 03-10-2020 would this one suit you or be modifiable??? https://www.prewarcar.com/311414-flanged-vintage-0-100lbs-pressure-gauge-suit-vintage-special RE: Air pressure gauge - Austin in the Shed - 03-10-2020 Too high a range Michael,10 psi full range would be max. I bought a low pressure gauge 2",new modern industrial type off Ebay a while ago with the intention to convert but it would be nice to come up with an original gauge similar to the rest I already have if possible. RE: Air pressure gauge - Peter Sweeney - 03-10-2020 I used a standard A7 one on an oil drip feed on a 1898 Panhard. The pump came from a paraffin lamp and the rest I made from copper pipe, sheet and brass fittings. The gauge between the air reserve and the oil tank. The first I made with 2 pumps worked but needed more attention. 2 Brighton runs no problems. Pete I should have said standard oil pressure gauge. Pete RE: Air pressure gauge - Austin in the Shed - 21-10-2020 I found a suitable smiths 5 psi oil gauge to convert with a good face. However Greg Clarke has produced an excellent 0-5 reproduction too as would be fitted to Bentleys etc. RE: Air pressure gauge - Robert Foreman - 21-10-2020 Here's mine Dave. Later 0-5 Smiths gauge put into an earlier casing with new face. RE: Air pressure gauge - Austin in the Shed - 21-10-2020 Looks very good. How did you do the face,Robert ? RE: Air pressure gauge - Robert Foreman - 22-10-2020 Tony B can supply a face which you can colour to suit your other instruments. Or you can print your own on coloured paper. If anyone knows a good screen printer who would be prepared to make small batches I would be very interested. |
