Haven't done it yet and have yet to get some suitable wire but I did come across this on Youtube which I found helpful as it doesn't rely on any special tools.

Twisting by hand as in the video works just fine, but is trickier when you don't have a lot of space to work with around the fasteners.
Robinson Jet Twisters are a pleasure to use because they don't have the clunky feel in your hand and notchy action that the Cheapanese knock offs always seem to have.
