RE: Wiring Sump Plug - John P - 23-07-2020 Haven't done it yet and have yet to get some suitable wire but I did come across this on Youtube which I found helpful as it doesn't rely on any special tools. https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=96EM1JvvZ8s John. RE: Wiring Sump Plug - Stuart Giles - 23-07-2020 0.8mm (.032" in old money) lockwire here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/US-PRO-Stainless-Steel-Lock-Wire-Lockwire-Safety-Wire-0-8mm-Approx-125-Metres/133177850313?hash=item1f0204b9c9:g:SrAAAOSwuQNdhK0B Twisting by hand as in the video works just fine, but is trickier when you don't have a lot of space to work with around the fasteners. Robinson Jet Twisters are a pleasure to use because they don't have the clunky feel in your hand and notchy action that the Cheapanese knock offs always seem to have. Jet Twisters are rather spendy to buy new, but these look more reasonable. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Robinson-Jet-Twister-NO-M-84-Wire-Twisting-Pliers-PAT-2394807-aviation/154009684749?hash=item23dbb14b0d:g:fNMAAOSwqDpfEGSW |
