Far more relevant would be the question "direction of rotation viewed from the driven end?"(clockwise or anti-clockwise)

May I suggest you go to his website and you will see the question is asked !!!!!!!! Why ?? when I speak to him I"LL ASK .

Actually, looking at his web site it is obvious why he poses the question of polarity; he supplies, in addition to reconditioning traditional distributors, new Electronic Ignition,  which is most definitely polarity sensitive as has already been stated.

Without sounding harsh, I just need a reliable source for a dizzy rebuild so I can drive my Ruby when Boris allows us to enjoy life again, simple questions just need simple answers.
