Can’t see the point of using a thrower with a lip seal.All the modern engines I have encountered 
with lip seals don’t have throwers. We have “ modernised “ the sealing arrangement at the rear
main so why go half old, and half new technology.My engines don’t leak , least wise not out of the rear main.
