Perhaps they can be persuaded to mould a BLIC cap for general sale ? https://www.magneto-ignition.co.uk RE: Leaky distributor cap - Bob Culver - 15-01-2020 it is not usually a problem with mags as any excessive voltage usually destroys them so there is no spark to worry about (hence the tiny recommended gaps). But large plug gaps and/or a wide rotor clearance raises voltage and risk of flashover. (For years despite original components, my 1960s car fired off the end of the rotor.Used to erode contacts, was hard to start, and eventauly the rotor failed. ) |
