Further to Chris KC's suggestion, you can have trouble-free cuts with a metal-cutting blade in your jigsaw if you first clamp your metal (steel or aluminium) firmly to a piece of plywood and saw through the lot, again as said holding the saw firmly onto the metal..  Eradicates  chattering, makes it easier and safer.  Also a use for your scrap bits of plywood instead of firewood.   Cheers,  Bill in Oz
