I just loctited the four nuts to the bolts that clamp the two front bearing retaining plates together. Plus extra nuts to lock onto them. Don't want them coming undone ! Thanks again to everyone for their advice and help.

Someone said you only need one shim, I would have thought 2 would be needed, one between the lip and bearing, other one between the bearing and retaining plate.
Are the small ends of the Conrods equidistant in the pistons? That would be my main concern.
