Those photos are clearly a carefully staged re-enactment of the famous scene in 'Deliverance' when Burt Reynolds drives the ill-fated adventurers and their canoes to the river in his 2CV - and gives a hint of what is to come with the immortal line, 'I do declare that the brakes on this thing squeal like a piggy, don't they boys?!'.
