I did my 5 years as Editor, time for someone else to have a go. Smile

Some interesting memorabilia from 1972, policy appears to have been similar then.

All sounds very familiar.

Turns out that this was the only public part of the rally.

My friend had these too, Henry.

I had not seen all the inserts and tickets etc. before.

RE: Centenary question - Henry Harris - 10-08-2022

There seem to be very few photos of the event.

RE: Centenary question - Archivist - 10-08-2022

Perhaps not, Henry, but there is always the film "Austin 7 Golden Jubilee" that can be found by scrolling down at http://archive.a7ca.org/collections/films/ That was playing in the Pop-Up Museum at Moreton as well.

I am minded to try and give the Golden Jubilee more prominence in the Archive and on the web site in the future, so there wil be an appeal for any materials and images later. But that will come after I have dealt with the Centenary event.

Good to see that the 1972 organisers have not been subjected to the online abuse the 2022 group had to contend with - despite an almost identical (and in some cases, stricter) set of conditions.

Well done all.
