My late father in law, John Harris (no relation of Austin) bought this body at some point in the early 60's.
His tow car was an Austin 1100 with the registration number 750R, acquired by simply asking for it at the local licensing office when he bought his new car.
When he collected this body, along with a pile of other spares, he didn't have a rear number plate for his trailer. 
He therefore painted "750R" on the item at the back of the trailer.
