Using this collection of Meccano I recently helped Jim Clark’s old school pupils at Chirnside to Build four model cars in a day to mark the 50th Anniversary Of his fatal crash at Hockenheim Regards Bill G RE: Meccano Austin 7’s - Nick Lettington - 11-06-2018 http://www.austinsevenfriends.com/Bruce_White_Pages/Original%20Drawing%20of%20Sports%20Chassis%20B.html http://www.austinsevenfriends.com/Bruce_White_Pages/Original%20Drawing%20of%20Sports%20Chassis%20A.html There are a few on the friends website... RE: Meccano Austin 7’s - Chris Garner - 11-06-2018 Enclosed is a car illustrated in a Meccano Prize Model brochure which took place in the Meccano Competition dated 1914 - 15. There may be a few pointers towards a model Seven Chris Bill, All Meccano Magazines are digitised free on line. I'm sure a search " Austin Seven " will turn something up. Chris RE: Meccano Austin 7’s - AllAlloyCup - 11-06-2018 Thanks Chris and Nick for the leads. I have these No 10 set instruction for this Model Chassis, more Austin 20 than a 7! I have an accurate scale balsa bodyframe made prior to making My real GE frame so want to make a 7 like chassis to suit. I may even sheath the model in thin alloy to match My AllAlloyCup, though the wings might be tricky. Will post progress reports! In between Working on the real thing. Kind regards Bill G Ps I have a CD of ALL the instruction manuals ever printed by Meccano Ltd I think it cost £4.95!!!! I have every Meccano Magazine (and most of the Meccano Manuals) from 1901 to 1980 - there was a very nice Meccano Chummy pictured in the Meccano Magazine - I think in the 70's. The Super Model Chassis from the 30's was a Bentley. Found it - Mike Edwards Austin Seven Chummy model from Meccano Magazine January 1972 page 32 Cheers, Tony. RE: Meccano Austin 7’s - Charles P - 12-06-2018 Not Austin 7 but this Meccano based Frazer Nash is impressive (and was expensive on a well known auction site) IMG_0220.JPG (Size: 126.48 KB / Downloads: 174) IMG_0221.JPG (Size: 80.72 KB / Downloads: 172) RE: Meccano Austin 7’s - Ruairidh Dunford - 12-06-2018 (12-06-2018, 08:12 AM)AllAlloyCup Wrote: Hi Ruairidh Thank you Bill, enjoy your explorations.
