Austin Seven - Late Model Differential Internal Oil Seal Conversion

When rebuilding late "D" type differentials, the original felt oil seals, the associated felt holders, washers and retaining clips can be replaced with a modern oil seal as shown above. In this case Chicago Rawhide Number 8821 seals were used. The new seals are pressed into the axle housing without using the original felt seal holder.
